For Christmas I made my friends gingerbread Christmas cards. Nomnom.
For Christmas on of my friends gave me these two beautiful packets of organic tea. Good looking packaging really makes my happy, and since im quite fond of tea as well I am going to conclude that this was a good christmas present. I might have the jasmine one later today…
Chy Morva is Cornish for ‘house by the sea’, and it is the name of the house I am living in this year, with my two fantastic housemates. As a little, fun project just after moving in I made this logo and identity for our house. After all the three of us study Graphic Design, so why not be a bit geeky?
Procrastinating? Well, not really. Tomorrow is the big day of dissertation draft submission, and I could have been a lot worse off than I am at the moment, I think. Thanks to hard work, with time for some playing with ink scheduled in between.
I’ve had a wonderfully long summer break (that is not quite over yet,) but I have decided that it is now time that I get back to my blog.
Vogalize is the name of one of my friends’ band, and not having much to do one evening I made this. I emailed it to my friend just as a fun thing, and a few days ago the band got back to me and wanted me to make them a logo. Not surprisingly they asked for something ‘a bit gloomier’, but I guess they must have liked some of it, since they asked me to do it…
This means I have now been sitting here all evening drawing spiky letters. But more about that later.

On Saturday I went to a fancy-dress party dressed as a flamingo, wearing this on my arm (as well as a very pink dress and a feather boa). As always, making the costume was just as fun as wearing it – and thanks again to Alice for donating her pink tights to me.
I am not quite sure why, but seeing this bin made me smile.
It is almost like the lettering are reflecting the meaning of the word they make.
Ignoring the fear of being perceived as a bit too mainstream, I will admit to like Stefan Sagmeister (as in his work, I don’t know him personally you know).
A week ago or so I got his book Things I Have Learned in My Life So Far. It is a quite fun book, and after playing around with the die-cut cover for a bit I formulated my own statement and made this A3 poster. The poster now hangs on my wall, reminding me that it’s ok. I’m only 21 after all.
